Fornalutx lies above Sóller's orange valley.
Fornalutx lies above Sóller at the foot of the Puig Major. The village is tiny, can be explored without a car and is surrounded by orange and lemon groves. Hikers set off from here into the Barranc de Biniaraix, road cyclists tackle the Tramuntana passes. A special feature is the painted roof tiles, a centuries-old local tradition.
