Young people
Mallorca for young people: festivals, clubs & beach parties
From a techno night in Son Fusteret to a pool party afternoon in Magaluf – Mallorca's young side, sorted.
The short answer
What makes Mallorca worthwhile for young travellers?
Within a short distance, Mallorca brings together four scenes that would otherwise be spread over several destinations: German-language mega-clubs at Playa de Palma, international clubs in Magaluf, open-air festivals in Palma and Calvià, and beach clubs on the south-west coast. Everything can be reached without a hire car.

Frequently asked questions
Is Mallorca only of interest to Ballermann fans?
No. Playa de Palma is a clearly defined area. There are also festivals in Calvià and Palma, electronic music in Son Fusteret, clubs in Magaluf and beach clubs on the south-west coast – with very different crowds.
How expensive is a party holiday in Mallorca?
Accommodation is the biggest cost and varies greatly between the low season and July/August. Entry fees apply mainly in Magaluf and at festivals; at Playa de Palma, entry to the big venues is usually free.
From what age can you get into clubs?
In Spain the age limit is 18. ID checks at the door are standard, and an official document is required.
Where is the best place to stay for a party holiday?
For Playa de Palma: S'Arenal or Can Pastilla. For clubs and festivals: Magaluf or Palmanova. If you want to combine both and still get some sleep, stay in Palma and travel by bus or taxi.
