Techno & EDM
Techno and EDM on Mallorca
Mallorca has more to offer than Schlager (German party pop): if you are looking for electronic music, you will find it in Son Fusteret and in Magaluf.
Quick answers
Where does electronic music take place on Mallorca?
In two places: at the Son Fusteret exhibition grounds in Palma, where open-air series such as Origen Fest run in summer, and in the clubs on the Punta Ballena in Magaluf, above all BCM. Both are seasonal – between November and April there are only occasional club nights.

What Mallorca is not
Mallorca is not a second Ibiza. There is no continuous club season with international residencies, but rather individual major events plus one megaclub. If you expect a whole week of non-stop techno, you will be disappointed; if you plan two or three big nights, you will find them.

Frequently asked questions
Is there techno on Mallorca outside the summer?
Hardly. The open-air series run between June and August, the clubs in Magaluf between May and October. In Palma there are smaller club nights all year round, but without a big line-up.
Where are the best clubs for electronic music?
The island's largest club is BCM in Magaluf. For open-air formats, the Son Fusteret exhibition grounds in Palma are the main venue.
Is Mallorca an alternative to Ibiza?
Not in terms of density. Ibiza has more clubs with international residencies; Mallorca, on the other hand, has shorter distances, cheaper accommodation and a city with everyday life around it.
