What is BCM Mallorca?
BCM is a large club in Magaluf with several floors, elaborate lighting and laser technology and an international DJ programme. This makes it the counterpart to Playa de Palma: not German-language live music, but electronic sets and guest appearances.
Highly exaggerated versions of its rankings are circulating. What is reliable is this: in the DJ Mag “Top 100 Clubs” ranking 2025, BCM was in 15th place and thus among the top 20 worldwide. The top places are taken exclusively by clubs in Ibiza. The widespread claim that BCM is “the third-best club in the world” is not true.
Punta Ballena as a club strip
Punta Ballena is a short street with a high density of bars and clubs. Besides BCM, there are smaller clubs, bars with live music and beach clubs in the surrounding area. Almost everything is within walking distance of each other.
The character is clearly different from Playa de Palma: more international, younger, more focused on DJ sets – and with entry fees instead of free entry.
Practical matters: age, entry, getting back
The minimum age is 18 and is checked at the door; official ID is required. There is usually no strict dress code, but swimwear is not accepted.
For getting back: take a taxi or stay within walking distance. Magaluf has taxi ranks at night, but waiting times are long in the high season. Leave valuables in the hotel safe if possible.
Tips for your visit
- Check entry and opening times directly with the club shortly before you travel – they change every season.
- Choose accommodation in Magaluf or Palmanova to save on taxi costs.
- Always take your ID with you.
- Avoid street sellers offering “VIP tickets”; official sales are through the clubs.
Who is it worth it for?
Good for:
- Clubbers aged 18–30
- Travellers focused on electronic music
- Groups looking for a compact nightlife strip
Less suitable for:
- Families
- Guests looking for peace and quiet
- Anyone expecting German-language live music – that's at Playa de Palma
