What is Dijous Bo?
Dijous Bo (“good Thursday”) is the finale of a series of autumn fairs in Inca and the largest single market in the Balearic Islands. The whole town centre becomes a market area: stalls for food, clothing and crafts, plus agricultural machinery exhibitions and a livestock market.
For travellers, it is the best date of the year to experience Mallorca away from the coast – the visitors are mostly locals.
When exactly it takes place
19 November is confirmed for 2026, and 18 November for 2027.
In 2026 it is preceded by the Fira de la Terra (24/25 October), the Fira de l'Esport i l'Oci (31 October/1 November) and the Fira d'Època (6 to 8 November). Source: Inca town council.
Getting there and parking
Inca is on the Palma–Sa Pobla/Manacor railway line; the journey from Palma takes around 40 minutes. On market day, the train is clearly the best choice: the town centre is closed to traffic and the access roads are congested from the late morning.
If you still come by car, park on the outskirts and walk the rest – and arrive early.
Tips for your visit
- Travel by train from Palma.
- Bring cash; many stalls do not take cards.
- Come early: from late morning the lanes get very crowded.
- Sturdy shoes – the market stretches across the entire town centre.
- If you come by car: leave it in the signposted parking areas on the edge of town and walk the last few minutes – the town centre is completely closed to traffic on market day.
- Parking areas on the edge of town are full by around midday; arrive before 10:00 or switch to the train.
Who is it worthwhile for?
A good fit for:
- Families
- Food and market lovers
- Travellers looking for island life away from the coast
Less suitable for:
- Anyone who wants to avoid crowds
- Travellers with very limited time – the market needs half a day
