Note on the date

Location: Son Fusteret, Palma de Mallorca.
What is the Fira del Ram?
The Fira del Ram is Palma’s spring funfair and one of the city’s oldest events. Its name refers to Palm Sunday (“Ram” = palm branch), around which it traditionally ends.
The attractions range from children’s carousels, dodgems and a Ferris wheel to big looping rides, plus stalls with churros, candyfloss and turrón. For families with children, it is the most important event of the spring in Palma.
Venue, period and opening hours
The venue is the Son Fusteret exhibition grounds in the north of Palma, the same site where open-air concerts are held in summer. It usually opens from late afternoon, much earlier at weekends and during the Easter holidays.
The period falls between the end of February and mid-April and shifts with the date of Easter. The City of Palma publishes the binding dates shortly beforehand each year.
What does a visit cost?
Entry to the grounds is free. You pay per ride; depending on the ride, prices are mostly in the low single-digit euro range, and big rides cost more. Many operators offer discount days (“día del niño”) with reduced fares.
Cash is handy: not all ticket booths take cards.
Getting there without a car
Son Fusteret is within the city and can be reached by city bus – usually line 10, as well as metro line M1 to Son Fuster with a short walk. If you are staying in Palma, you do not need a car.
By car, parking at the grounds quickly runs out on weekend evenings; the access road then backs up as far as the ring road.
Families and low-noise days
For children with autism or noise sensitivity there are usually dedicated dates on which music and light effects are significantly reduced. These days are scheduled anew each year and announced by the City of Palma.
Outside these dates: early evenings during the week are quietest, Friday and Saturday evenings are busiest.
Tips for your visit
- Come early in the evening during the week – at weekends it is very crowded.
- Travel by bus or metro instead of by car.
- Bring cash for ride tokens and stalls.
- Ask about discounted children’s days and low-noise dates; they are set anew each year.
- For small children, head for the area with the gentle carousels at the edge of the grounds.
Who is it worth it for?
A good fit for:
- Families with children
- Travellers who want to experience Palma in spring away from the sights
- Teenagers
Less suitable for:
- Anyone looking for peace and quiet
- Travellers with no interest in funfairs
