The course
Landscape and character
Golf de Andratx lies in the hills above Camp de Mar: marked changes in elevation, water on several holes and views of the sea.
Many holes are strongly undulating, for example hole 3. Hole 15 drops steeply, hole 17 runs uphill, and the 6th green rises. Because of these elevation changes and the distances between some holes, the club recommends a buggy.
Water comes into play on holes 4, 8, 9, 13 and 18, among others. Out of bounds is close to several greens, for example on holes 4, 15 and 17; the 7th green is protected by a high stone wall. Along the way you look out over the sea and the Serra, and from the 12th green over the bay of Camp de Mar.
The course opened in 2000; according to the club, the design is by Gleneagles Golf Development. The Balearic federation's handicap table lists a slope of 138 from yellow for men and 142 from red for women.
