Taller Sert: Miró's original studio
The studio designed by Josep Lluís Sert was Miró's actual workspace for almost three decades. Brushes, paint tins and unfinished canvases are still standing as if the artist had only just stepped out.
The later Moneo building adds exhibition spaces for the permanent and temporary exhibitions to the studio.
The permanent exhibition and special exhibitions
The permanent exhibition in the Espai Estrella shows key works and working materials from Miró's late creative years. Which special exhibitions are currently on changes over the course of the year – RM24's cross-institution exhibitions page provides the current overview.
The garden and Son Boter
The circular path through the garden leads to the former farmhouse Son Boter, which Miró used at times as a second studio. Access may be restricted depending on the state of the building – ask about the current situation before your visit.
